I hope you enjoyed reading my first two books, Elthea’s Realm
That doesn’t mean I can’t begin talking about my next novel. After all, the publishing cycle is so much more than when the book is released. Right now, I’m doing the hard work of writing and editing the first draft of the next story, making sure it’s as exciting and captivating as I can make it.
The good news is that I’m really, really loving how it’s coming together. That wasn’t my feeling four months ago when I was throwing plot ideas against the page, hoping for something to stick.
I’ve already discarded many chapters that didn’t work. Writing a novel, for me, is akin to exploring. I search and probe for those passages that I can string together to pull you into another world and make you hope the story will never end.
Book three will be a continuation of the first two books in the series. Many readers have said that my first two books could be read as stand-alone stories. I do try to write each book as its own tale with a satisfying conclusion, but my books also have an arc that progresses from one novel to another. My characters evolve, and the dangers become ever more challenging to overcome.
I’ll be posting sections of the book here as I come closer to releasing it. Not sure what that date will be, but watch this journal for updates.
Again, thank you, everyone.
