Wishing you the Very Best for 2019

Happy New Year!

This is the time of year that marks a transition in our lives from what has happened to what will be. We face a blank page where everything is possible for the good things we have yet to accomplish.

For myself as a writer, it’s an occasion to reflect on how I’ve evolved in this craft. I believe I’ve come a long way, but I’m always trying to improve my skills before I’m satisfied. The feeling is simultaneously one of the banes and one of the joys of being an author.

Right now, I’m working on book 3 in the Story of Elthea’s Realm, and I look forward to sharing some of it with you as soon as it’s ready. This next book in the series will follow the adventures of Philip Matherson and his friends as they face a particularly daunting challenge in the land of Elthea.

If you haven’t yet done so, now’s your chance to read book 1, Elthea’s Realm, and book 2, Elthea’s Gambit before I release the third book in the series.

I recently came across this quote from the famous poet and essayist TS Eliot, and I thought it appropriate for me to share it with you during this time of year. He once wrote, “Last year’s words belong to last year’s language, and next year’s words await another voice.”

I find it inspiring to think about the possibilities that await me, along with other writers, in words that have not yet been written. I look forward to finding as many of the right words as I can to inspire you and transport you to another place and time.

Wishing you much happy reading, and as much joy as possible in your life as you travel along this year’s road.
