A Thankful Post

With the holidays upon us, my message for this journal post is a simple one.  I offer you my appreciation and gratitude. You make it possible for me to continue my dream of writing.

I’ve discovered that a writer’s life is not always an easy path to follow. It can be a daunting profession, putting words onto a blank page, knowing others will eventually judge the quality and worthiness of the books I write.

You have the choice of purchasing books from any number of talented authors. You stand in judgment by offering reviews. And you decide which authors to follow by subscribing to a newsletter or clicking on the follow button on Amazon, BookBub, or Goodreads.

By merely reading this message, you choose to pay attention to my writing career. And that’s where it all begins.

Frequently, the little things are the most helpful to me as I work at finishing the latest book. I’ve received words of encouragement, positive reviews, and a growing number of loyal fans who have persuaded others to read my novels.

These and many other acts of kindness help tremendously during the days when the words don’t flow.

For everyone who has taken the time to read my books, for all the enthusiastic emails and messages, I thank you. I’m forever in your debt.
